A Spanish fort at the meeting of two rivers, built of logs, burned by pirates, rebuilt in stone, taken by the British, taken back, then seized by Andrew Jackson in 1818 during an invasion of what was still Spanish territory. He hanged two British subjects here, which nearly caused a war and did help force Spain to sell Florida.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
