Riversdale, and the diary Adam Francis Plummer kept there
1807

Henri Stier, a Flemish aristocrat who left Antwerp during the French Revolution, began this Georgian mansion in 1801 to resemble the house he had left behind, and his daughter Rosalie Stier Calvert finished it in 1807. The plantation around it worked hundreds of acres with enslaved labour. Adam Francis Plummer, brought here as a boy and taught to read in secret, kept a diary from his marriage in 1841 until his death in 1905, one of very few first person records of the sort. The house is now a museum.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
