Quincy's Coca-Cola millionaires
1920
Quincy, Florida

A banker in this shade-tobacco town told everyone who would listen to buy Coca-Cola stock and lend against it if they had to, on the reasoning that people bought a nickel Coke in good times and bad. Enough of them did it that a farm town of a few thousand was said to hold dozens of millionaires, and the stock stayed in those families for generations.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
