Queensbridge Houses

Ninety six buildings opened northeast of the Queensboro Bridge in 1939 and it is still the largest public housing development in North America, about 7,000 people in 3,142 apartments. Marley Marl produced out of it in the 1980s, and the Juice Crew he assembled around MC Shan, Roxanne Shante and Craig G put the Bridge on the map before Boogie Down Productions answered back. Nas grew up here and made Illmatic out of it in 1994, and Mobb Deep, Cormega and Tragedy Khadafi came from the same blocks.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
