Poston, the largest camp, built on tribal land
1942
Colorado River Indian Reservation, Arizona
Public domain · Wikimedia Commons
The largest of the ten camps by area, holding some 17,000 people in three units on tribal land. Detainees dug irrigation ditches and planted trees the reservation kept afterwards, which is close to the only thing anyone got out of it.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
