Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner left the city for a fisherman's cottage out here with no heat, and in the barn behind it he laid canvas on the floor and flung paint at it, the drip paintings, made by walking around the edges. The floor is still spattered. He killed himself and a passenger driving drunk a mile from the house in 1956. Krasner painted on there for another thirty years.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
