Pleasant Home, the Prairie house you can actually go inside
1897
Oak Park, Illinois
Public domain · Wikimedia Commons
George W. Maher finished this house for John Farson in 1897, working out a Prairie style vocabulary while Frank Lloyd Wright was doing the same thing a few streets north. It was named a National Historic Landmark in 1996. Unlike most of Oak Park's famous houses it is a museum rather than somebody's home.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
