Playland and Laughing Sal

Ten acres of amusement park along the Great Highway, with a Fun House whose entrance was an animatronic woman who did nothing but laugh at a volume audible from the road. Playland was demolished in 1972. Laughing Sal was not, and she still turns up in the Bay Area, still laughing, which people find worse rather than better.
