Pepsi invented at a New Bern drugstore
1893
New Bern, North Carolina
CC0 · Wikimedia Commons
Caleb Bradham mixed a digestive tonic at his New Bern pharmacy soda fountain in 1893, called it Brad's Drink, and renamed it Pepsi-Cola five years later after the dyspepsia it claimed to settle. He lost the company in the sugar market crash of 1923 and died having sold the trademark for a fraction of what it became. The corner drugstore still pours it at the original location.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
