Peoria opened this complex in 1994 at a cost of about 7.7 million dollars, the first major league spring training and player development site designed to be shared by two clubs. The San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners have both used it since, and its layout became the pattern for the Cactus League parks built afterwards. The stadium holds roughly 12,000, and twelve practice fields sit around it.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
