O Block, where drill music came from
Parkway Gardens, South King Drive, Greater Grand Crossing, Chicago

Thirty five modernist buildings along King Drive between 63rd and 66th, built from 1950 as a housing co-operative for Black Chicagoans and listed on the National Register in 2011 for exactly that. Michelle Obama's family lived here when she was a baby. The block was renamed for Odee Perry, a twenty year old shot nearby in 2011, and under that name it became the address most associated with Chicago drill: Chief Keef, Fredo Santana, King Von and Lil Durk all came out of these buildings, and most of them name it on record.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
