Mount Olive Missionary Baptist, the church that held Nassauville together
1870

Nassauville is a fishing settlement on the north bank of the Nassau River, and the Mount Olive congregation was organised there in 1870 by free Black families. The small frame church did the work of a community hall as much as a sanctuary, because the settlement had no other public building. It went on the National Register in 1998 and still stands on County Road 107.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
