Lumpkins Stadium hosts Waxahachie's Friday nights and a university's Saturdays
1972
Waxahachie, Texas
The Waxahachie Indians have played home football here since the stadium opened in 1972. It carries the name of Stuart B. Lumpkins, a former superintendent of the school district, and a city bond paid for its 2011 renovation. Nelson University plays its home games on the same field, and the UIL regularly borrows it as a neutral site for playoff football and soccer.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
