Lomax records Muddy Waters at Stovall

Alan Lomax came looking for Robert Johnson, learned he was dead, and was pointed to a tractor driver on the Stovall place. McKinley Morganfield cut two songs into a disc recorder and asked to hear them back. He later said that when he heard it he knew he could do it. He was in Chicago within two years, plugged in, and the electric band that followed became the template for rock and roll.
