Public domain · Wikimedia Commons
On 18 April 1946 Jackie Robinson played his first game for the Montreal Royals, a Brooklyn farm club, against the Jersey City Giants at Roosevelt Stadium. Mayor Frank Hague had printed 52,000 tickets for a park that seated about 25,000. Robinson went four for five with a three run homer, stole two bases and drove in four, a year before he reached Brooklyn. The stadium was knocked down in 1985 and the site is housing.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
