August Geiger designed this building in 1914 as the Homestead Public School, when the town was one year old. It was renamed in 1934 for Neva King Cooper and listed on the National Register in 1985. More than a century after it opened it is still a Miami-Dade public school, now serving students with intellectual disabilities.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
