Gruhn Guitars and the vintage trade
1970
Eighth Avenue South, Nashville
George Gruhn turned identifying old instruments into a discipline, writing the reference books that dealers and auction houses still use to date a guitar by its tuners and bracing. Musicians fly in to buy from him, and the shop is a large part of why a used Martin became an asset class rather than a second-hand instrument.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
