Edina opened this one acre park in 1987 entirely indoors, under glass, so that a Minnesota winter never closes it. Inside are a pool, a running track, a 250 seat amphitheater, a big climbing playground and more than 6,000 plants along winding paths, with condominiums and a hotel wrapped around it that open straight onto the park. It sits about a mile south of Southdale, the suburb's first answer to the same weather problem.
