A railroad town of 2,000 that dwindled to exactly one resident, who put the whole thing, gas station, schoolhouse, zip code 82052, up for auction in 2012. A Vietnamese coffee entrepreneur bought it sight mostly unseen for $900,000 and renamed it PhinDeli Town Buford to launch his brand in America. Population signage still reads 1, which remains the town's entire argument and complete tourist economy.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
