BTK caught by a floppy disk
Park City, Kansas
Public domain · Wikimedia Commons
Dennis Rader murdered ten people around Wichita over seventeen years and taunted the police with letters naming himself Bind, Torture, Kill. He lived in this suburb as a church council president and the city's code compliance officer, and was caught in 2005 after asking detectives whether a floppy disk could be traced and being told it could not.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
