Brookside Stadium draws the largest crowd in amateur baseball history
1915

The ballfield sits in a natural bowl in the Big Creek valley, so the hillsides around it work as free grandstands. On 10 October 1915 an estimated 100,000 people or more covered those slopes to watch Cleveland's White Autos beat the Omaha Luxus 11 to 6 for the national amateur title. No amateur game since has been credited with a bigger crowd.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
