Bronson Caves, the quarry that played the Batcave
1903
Los Angeles, California
The Union Rock Company opened a quarry in Brush Canyon in 1903 to crush stone for Los Angeles street paving, and shut it down in the late 1920s. What it left behind was a short tunnel through a hillside that looks from one angle like a cave mouth in empty desert. Westerns and science fiction pictures have used it ever since, and it served as the entrance to the Batcave in the Batman series of 1966.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
