Bradbury Building completed
1893
Broadway, Downtown Los Angeles
Public domain · Wikimedia Commons
A plain brick exterior around a court of open ironwork, marble stairs and hydraulic lifts under a glass roof. Designed by a draughtsman with no architectural training who is said to have consulted his dead brother by planchette. Its sunlit iron atrium is the decaying apartment of Blade Runner's final confrontation, and one of the most filmed interiors in Los Angeles.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
