Bisbee and the Copper Queen
1880
Bisbee, Arizona
Chad Johnson · CC BY 2.0 · Wikimedia Commons
One of the richest mineral sites in history, some eight billion pounds of copper out of the Mule Mountains, with a town of Victorian houses stacked up the canyon walls on staircases instead of streets. The Lavender Pit beside it is a hole a mile across.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
