Bay View massacre
May 5, 1886
Bay View, Milwaukee
The governor ordered the militia to fire on some 1,500 workers marching for the eight-hour day. Seven died, including a thirteen-year-old boy and a man feeding chickens in his yard. It happened the day after Haymarket and is far less remembered.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
