Crooked Creek is an eighteen hole public course on Saint Anthony Road in Whiteford Township, off exit 5 of US 23, close enough to the state line that most of the people playing it are from Toledo. On 24 July 2023 a group here hit a shot that landed near another golfer, and by the account the course gave afterwards he picked the ball up and would not give it back. The argument that followed was filmed from a cart. He stands with his arms folded taking it, then pulls his shirt off over his head, squares up, and eventually puts the shirt back round his neck and walks off without anything happening. He left the course without a fight. The clip reached the national press that September, the course confirmed it had banned him for life and passed his name to the other courses it owns, and he has been reposted ever since by accounts that have no idea where any of it happened.
