Little Island, the park on concrete tulips
2021
Little Island, Hudson River Park, Manhattan, New York
Praneeth Thalla · CC BY-SA 4.0 · Wikimedia Commons
A public park built on 132 concrete tulips in the Hudson, paid for largely by Barry Diller, on the pilings of a pier where ocean liners once docked. It opened as the city came back from lockdown and immediately needed timed entry.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
