Do the Right Thing

Spike Lee shut down a single block of Stuyvesant Avenue for a whole hot summer to film one day on it, the pizzeria, the stoops, the fire hydrant, the death at the end. The block was a real one he cleaned up and cast from the neighbourhood. The corner is marked now. The film's argument about that corner has not aged out.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
