Coyote Ugly
East Village, Manhattan

The bar where the women dance on the counter and hose down the crowd is based on a real and then-notorious East Village saloon of the same name, which the film turned into a national franchise. The original stayed open, more crowded than ever, its reputation for controlled mayhem now a marketing plan rather than an accident.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
