A midwinter carnival in downtown Aspen featuring a torchlight descent down Aspen Mountain, fireworks, a canine fashion show, and cross country ski races. The tradition dates to 1951 and was created to boost local spirits during the resort's slow winter stretch. It remains one of Aspen's oldest annual traditions.
