Three-day country and rock music festival staged directly on Fort Lauderdale Beach, running since 2013. National touring headliners play multiple stages over the event, which benefits the Rock the Ocean Foundation's marine conservation work. It has grown into one of the region's largest annual music festivals and a springtime fixture on the beach.

The world's largest in-water boat show, run since 1961 by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida across more than three million square feet of exhibit space at Bahia Mar and other waterfront sites in Fort Lauderdale.
College swimmers had wintered here since the 1930s, but the 1960 film Where the Boys Are, shot at this corner bar and the beach outside it, turned Fort Lauderdale into the national headquarters of spring break: 50,000 students a year, then 350,000.
