The Sylvan Park Neighborhood Association and the Sylvan Park Parents Group host a neighborhood Fourth of July parade through Richland Park each year. Residents decorate bikes, trikes, strollers and wagons for a short procession, followed by crafts and refreshments under the park pavilion, a tradition going back more than 30 years.
