Story City has celebrated its Scandinavian Days since 1965, when the tradition began as a Norwegian Constitution Day gathering at Immanuel Lutheran Church before growing into a first weekend of June festival. Nordic foods, folk dancing and rides on the town's 108 year old antique carousel in North Park mark the celebration.
