The South Side Soup Contest sends visitors on a walking crawl through South Side restaurants each winter to sample and vote on original soups, with proceeds benefiting a neighborhood food pantry. The South Side Chamber of Commerce has run the fundraiser for more than two decades. It is a beloved cold weather tradition in the neighborhood.
