Bingham Street runs through the South Side Flats behind the bars and rowhouses, a working block of gyms, tattoo shops and cinder block back walls. A black sedan came to rest here on 16 September 2023 with its front end caved in and a bumper lying in the road, and the man who had been driving it turned on the person filming rather than on the wreck. The filmer, Waveyy, posted it to TikTok that evening captioned how you crash ya car and you mad at me, and the line he uses in it became a sound other people cut their own footage to. What made it travel was the mismatch: the car is destroyed, the argument is about the camera.
