Irmo's Okra Strut fills Moore Park with an okra eating contest, a Saturday morning parade down St. Andrews Road and a full weekend of carnival rides and live music. The town has run the festival since 1973 in honor of the vegetable once grown widely in the area. Friday night opens with concerts at the Prisma Health Amphitheater.
