Nashville's own hot chicken restaurants gather in East Park every July 4th for a fire truck parade, an amateur cooking competition, and plates of the city's signature dish. Held since 2007, the free festival benefits Metro Parks and Recreation. Expect long lines at the most popular booths by midday.
