Monroe Street's business district closes to traffic for a day of live music, kids' games, food and drink specials and a library book sale. The 2026 edition marks the festival's 48th year along the corridor between Edgewood and Knickerbocker. It has run every September since the late 1970s as a neighborhood fundraiser.
