The Delmar Loop turns into an open-air ice sculpture gallery each winter, with more than 40 carved pieces, live performances, and a drone show along the entertainment district's sidewalks. University City has run the free carnival annually since 2008. (2027 date approximate, following the event's established late-January pattern.)
