The Krewe of Muses is an all-female Mardi Gras parading krewe founded in 2000, famous for its hand-decorated shoe throws and satirical floats. It rolls through Uptown New Orleans on the Thursday before Fat Tuesday and draws some of the thickest crowds of Carnival season. The parade starts at Magazine and Jefferson and finishes near Canal Street.
