Zulu Social Aid and Pleasure Club Parade
S. Claiborne Avenue & Jackson Avenue (parade start), New Orleans, LA
The Zulu Social Aid and Pleasure Club has paraded on Mardi Gras morning since 1909, making it one of the oldest African American Carnival organizations in the city. Riders throw the krewe's signature hand painted coconuts, among the most sought after Mardi Gras throws. The parade starts at Jackson and South Claiborne and precedes Rex up St. Charles Avenue.
