One of Madison's longest-running races: paddlers start on Lake Mendota at Tenney Beach, portage their canoes and kayaks on foot across the isthmus, then paddle the Yahara River and Lake Monona to the finish at Olbrich Park. Runners can do the same course on foot as a footrace division. The 2026 edition on July 29 marked the race's fifth decade.
