Known locally by its original name, Beach to Battleship, this half-Ironman starts with a swim in Wrightsville Beach's Banks Channel, then a bike and run finishing at Water Street Park across from the Battleship North Carolina. It has run since 2008 and drew about 3,000 athletes in 2025.
