CityFest closes down Fifth Avenue in Hillcrest for two stages of live bands and DJs, craft and art vendors, and a full day of street food. Now in its fifth decade, the festival is one of the neighborhood's signature events and draws tens of thousands of visitors each August. It runs through the heart of the district that anchors San Diego's LGBTQ community.
