Detroit's Greektown neighborhood closes Monroe Street each summer for a street-side lamb roast on eight rotating spits, live Greek music and traditional dancing. Run by the Greektown Neighborhood Partnership; the 2026 edition drew record crowds on the newly car-free street, and next year's exact date was not yet posted, shown from its consistent late-July pattern.
