Downtown Crystal River celebrates its winter manatee population every January with guided boat and kayak tours to see the animals gathered in the warm springs of Kings Bay. The festival, now in its 39th year, pairs wildlife viewing with live entertainment, food vendors, and children's activities. Locals call the city the Manatee Capital of the World.
