A 40 mile, entirely car-free bicycle ride through all five New York City boroughs, organized by the nonprofit Bike New York since the late 1970s. Roughly 30,000 riders start in Lower Manhattan and finish on Staten Island each year, making it one of the largest organized cycling events in the country. Proceeds fund the organization's free cycling education programs.
