Twenty-three British cadets who died in training accidents at the area's wartime airfields are buried together in a corner of this cattle-town cemetery, under a Union Jack that has flown here since the 1940s.
Billed as the granddaddy of them all, this is one of the oldest sanctioned rodeos in the United States, running continuously since the 1920s in Florida cattle country.
A recreated medieval village and jousting tournament fills the Woods of Mallaranny east of Bradenton every weekend from early November into December.
