A nighttime 10K ski and snowshoe race across frozen Chequamegon Bay, lit by roughly a thousand ice luminaries between Washburn and Ashland. Organized by a local nonprofit since the late 1990s, it is one of the signature winter events on Lake Superior's south shore. Weather permitting, skaters take part alongside skiers and snowshoers.
