The tiny Panhandle town of Turkey, population under four hundred, has honored native son Bob Wills, the King of Western Swing, every April since 1972. The weekend draws thousands of fans for live music, dancing, and a parade led by the Bob Wills Foundation. It has become one of the largest annual gatherings in this stretch of the Panhandle despite the town's size.
